February is the month of Valentine's Day.  A time in which we connect with our hearts and the ones we consider close to our hearts.

Love is such a wonderful vibration of energy and being in love very drastically changes our reality. It is an experience that can powerfully show us how relative our perception of the circumstances we live in is.

We realize that it is actually our choice in which way we want to look at the world, from the viewpoint of the one in love or from the place of the person focusing on the difficulties and adversities in our lives.

When we connect with the energy of love, it doesn't matter whether it is the love we experience because we feel suddenly hit by a certain recognition and "fall" in love; or whether it is the love we allow ourselves to feel for, and come back to us from, an animal, flower, tree, the earth or the universe. It is a point of view that we choose, and it determines the way we perceive our world.

Love is an energy and a very special kind of light.

Love seems to be the opposite to hatred, anger and violence. And that is where we are getting into trouble. We are entering the limited realm of the small part of our emotional body that we use. We engage in the dualistic world of light and dark, of good and bad, of positive and negative.

And in its essence, love is not part of this.

Love is the energy that is there no matter whether it is light or dark. Love is the building material of this Universe, and it is the specialty of our planet Earth that we have developed this love organ - our heart - and this special feeling for somebody that we call love. Trouble and misery come when we pretend that we are able to cut ourselves off from love when in truth all we are is love—and all there is around us is love.

So, take a moment and close your eyes; take a few deep breaths into your body to awaken the mind of your cells and just perceive your body. Then feel how with every in-breath you are breathing in life-force energy from the Universe and from the earth, and with every out-breath you are breathing out tension, and allow your body to relax. Feel in to every part of your body and consciously release the tension you might hold in there.

Allow your body to tell you for how long it would like you to do that.

Then, ask your body to show you where it holds the awareness of love. You may feel it in your heart, but it can also be anywhere else in your body. Just allow your body to show you — you may just know the place, see it, or feel a cool or warm tingling or any other sensation in that place. Bring your consciousness into that place and allow the awareness of love to flow into your whole body. Allow it to become really strong inside of you and perceive your body now. Then imagine how this energy radiates out from you into the room you are in, into the house, the city, the country, all around the planet and then out into the Universe. Perceive the net, the vibration of love that you are initiating or actually activating all around you, connecting you to everything. Perceive the flow of love radiating out from you and coming back to you—actually being all around you.

Then slowly open your eyes and stay in this energy and awareness.  Look around you at whatever is in your field of vision. What does the world look like now? Go for a walk and allow that connection between you and the world around you. Experience the web of love that you are part of and that is nourished by your awareness and that nourishes you.
